Internetaleph An instructive, well designed site on Jorge Luis Borges.
LANIC Literature Page University of Texas. Covers Latin America only, but is the most comprehensive gateway to sites on Latin American literature.
Literary Resources: Theory is a literary theory site from Rutgers University. It does not emphasize Spanish or Latin American theory, but it does focus on the French and German theory read in Latin America. An excellent resource.
Literatura Argentina Contemporánea is an extensive interactive site on modern Argentine literature.
Literatura Ecuatoriana On 20th and 21st century Ecuadorian literature, from the Universidad Central del Ecuador.
El pasajero Revista de estudios sobre Ramón del Valle-Inclán - Unversitat Autònoma de Barcelona.  E-journal, full text.  See also their excellent biography of the author, not linked to the main page.
Postcolonial Studies at Emory This site is oriented primarily towards literature written in English, but is still a useful resource on colonial and  'postcolonial' literature and theory.
Spanish Books Net  Online history of Spanish literature.  A commercial site, but useful.

ARTISTIC SITES

Enciclopedia H, a large site devoted to commentary on literature and culture, from Montevideo (Uruguay).
Estación Poética Excellent poetry site from Peru, with good links.
Ficticia This site has two main sections: Antología, where short stories by recognized authors are added monthly, and Comunidad, where visitors may post and read comments literature and cultural events.
KlickEscritores, a writers' site from Brazil.
Poesía.com, an excellent poetry cyberzine from Argentina.

ELECTRONIC BOOKS AND FULL TEXT DIGITAL ARCHIVES

Apuntes de literatura peruana An excellent gateway to full text digital archives and electronic books.
Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes A virtual library of classic and contemporary Spanish and Spanish American literary works.
Brazilian Classics Online A virtual library of classic Brazilian literary works.
Cervantes Project Digital versions of Cervantes' complete works and more. When finished the Cervantes Project will make available sixty editions of Don Quixote, including a facsimile of the first edition.
Cibertextos Full text, interactive collection of classic Spanish literature, joint project of the Universitat d'Alacant (Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes) and Duke.  An excellent resource, but it loads slowly.  High speed connection recommended.
Comedia Homepage  Extensive full text archive of classic Spanish theatre.  From the Etext Center, libraries of the University of Virginia.
Estudios culturales y cuestiones de globalización  Virtual publication of the University of Houston.  Includes articles by Abril Trigo, Daniel Mato, Marc Zimmerman and others.  Book version forthcoming from Allende y Bravo (Santiago de Chile).
Guamán Poma Online From the Royal Library in Copenhagen, where the Primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno was rediscovered, we now have an online version, complete with the original illustrations, of this key colonial text. Edition and introduction are by renowned Guamán Poma scholar Rolena Adorno.

Luz de materias de Indias del Marqués de Montes Claros Don Juan de Mendoza y Luna, the marquis of Montesclaros, was Viceroy in Lima from 1607 to 1615, the period in which Wamán Poma was writing the Primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno. This is his memoir of the period. Digital facsimile of the manuscript, housed at the Royal Library of Copenhagen. Notes and bibliography by Rolena Adorno.

Retablo de literatura chilena Digital archive on five important Chilean authors, created at the University of Chile. Site has won a UNESCO prize.
Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Digital Archive Includes chronology, bibliography, full text articles, and access to electronic version of complete works.
Spanish Literature Online Digitized texts of classic Medieval and Golden Age Spanish works. From the Association of College and Research Libraries. A good directory, but a number of the addresses were out of date in March, 2005.
Spanish Literature Web Guide Links to classics in full text, from George Mason University.
